2023 HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIRS IN THE WEST ISLAND

The run-up to the holiday season is filled with wonderful opportunities to shop at local artisan fairs throughout the West Island. Here’s your guide to where to find seasonal bazaars and holiday markets in your community.

DORVAL

Dorval Salon des Artisans

When: Friday, November 17 (noon to 9 p.m.),Saturday, November 18 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Sunday, November 19 (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.)

Where: Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre, 1335 ch. du Bord-du-Lac/Lakeshore Rd., Dorval

Good to know: The Salon des Artisan features handmade creations by members of the Dorval Artisans’ Guild.


Dorval Holiday Market

When: December 1 to 17.(Fridays: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays: Noon to 9 p.m. and Sundays: Noon to 5 p.m.

Where: The parking lot at the corner Tulip and Dawson Aves., Dorval Village

Good to know: Inspired by European Christmas markets, the outdoor site will showcase local artisans and products, and tasty discoveries in an enchanting atmosphere enhanced by beautiful lighting, background music, and small wooden cabins serving as booths for merchants. 


HUDSON

Hudson Christmas Market

When: Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Where: 394 Main Rd., Hudson

Good to know: Shop local by supporting your community’s artisans.


PIERREFONDS-ROXBORO

Bring on the Holidays Craft Fair

When: Saturday, November 25 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Where: St. Michael and All Angels Church, 15556 Rue Cabot, Pierrefonds


PINCOURT

Merry Noël Pincourt Craft Fair

When: Saturday, November 18 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Where: Pincourt Omni-Centre, 375 Cardinal Léger Blvd., Pincourt.

Good to know: A wide selection of items, including ornaments, soaps, advent calendars, knitting, quilting, wood items, etc. etc.


POINTE-CLAIRE

St. John Fisher School Annual Holiday Fair

When: Saturday, November 18 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Where: St. John Fisher School, 121 Summerhill Ave, Pointe-Claire,

Good to know: Hosted by Home & School Assoc., this features local vendors and artisans.


Valois Country Fair

When: Saturday, November 18 (9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.)

Where: Valois United Church, 70 Belmont Ave., Pointe-Claire

Good to know: This bazaar is an important fundraiser that supports church and community activities. It features meat pies, Christmas baking, jams, crafts, including handmade Christmas cards, and knitted, quilted and crocheted items. There’ll be a raffle and silent auction.


Pointe-Claire Artisan Show

When: Saturday, November 25 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Sunday, November 26 (noon to 5 p.m.)

Where: Stewart Hall Cultural Centre, 176 Bord du Lac/Lakeshore Rd., Pointe-Claire.

Good to know: This is a major annual event, featuring 30 juried crafts people who sell their wares throughout the beautiful historic Stewart Hall Cultural Centre.


Cedar Park United Church Holiday Market

When: Saturday, December 2 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Where: Cedar Park United Church, 204 Lakeview Ave, Pointe-Claire.

Good to know: More than 20 artisans, crafters and vendors, baked goods and Jamaican beef patties.


SAINT-LAZARE

Saint-Lazare Christmas Market

When: Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Where: 1301 Rue du Bois, Saint-Lazare

Good to know: In addition to many artisans, highlights include a photo session with Santa Claus from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (no reservation required), outdoor entertainment including a DJ, choir and Christmas music; and cariole rides.


Westwood Home & School Association Craft Fair

When: Saturday, November 25 (9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Where: Westwood Junior High School, 2800 du Bordelais St., Saint-Lazare

Good to know: Local artisans. Forty tables of crafts, used-books sale, raffle, café.
